In August 2023 Wild Bits took it’s satellite exhibition to the Latvian wilderness – to Savvaļa. Savvaļa is a place in North-Latvia, an open-air exhibition and series of events, designed to rethink relationships between human and nature, culture and institution, traditional and contemporary. Artpark was initiated by Latvian painter Andris Eglītis in 2020.
Three Wild Bits installations by artists Anna Tamm & Vinzenz Leutenegger (EE/CH), Jeanne Harignordoquy (FR) and Uģis Albiņš (LV) were exhibited in Savvaļa. On 6th of August there was a special programme with a curatorial tour for the audience.
Wild Bits satellite exhibition in Savvaļa was supported by the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024, State Culture Capital Foundation of Latvia, Vidzeme Planning Region of Latvia and Labietis Brewery.
